What is life coaching & who is it for?

Life coaching is for anyone who wants more from life. For example, do you ever hold yourself back because you don't have the confidence or time to pursue what you would really love to? Could you do with a push to help you stay on track? Would it help to talk through a personal or professional issue and have guided tools to help improve your experiences in life?

Many successful people have coaches in their corner preparing them for events and everyday situations, cheering them on and constantly helping them to better themselves. Having your own personal supporter can be really helpful - someone who will listen and see the big picture.

Leading busy lives, we all have stresses that can get in the way of our goals. Not being in the right headspace can impact our ability to see and think clearly enough to deal with things effectively. Our emotional state makes a big difference to our motivation, ability to progress and make lasting changes. We may have a lot going on, be stuck in unhealthy routines, not be in the ideal environment or just not have the confidence to make positive changes.

Imagine having a little time and space away from it all to reflect and recharge in a comfortable and relaxed setting. What if there was someone with you, fully accepting you for who you are and had the sole aim of supporting you to reach your goals?

Dedicated time to focus on you

It’s good to talk. A good conversation can often make us feel better. It can inspire us to reflect on how we feel, giving us clarity, encouragement, and comfort. 

However, do you ever notice when talking to someone, they interrupt with “Oh, that happened to me! There was this one time at…” right when you’re in the middle of your sentence? Suddenly it’s all about them!

Even when we do have their attention, we may not be able to fully confide in the people around us – they may judge, worry, feel jealous, or have too much going on themselves to be truly present.

When we don’t acknowledge and deal with our feelings, tension can build and have a negative impact on our lives and people around us. We may shut ourselves off, become ‘snappy’, or pretend to be more focused than we actually are so we don’t give the impression that we are struggling (want to look good on our posts!). This can slow us down, make us feel guilty and cause more problems creating a vicious cycle.

I offer a supportive, non judgemental space for you to have honest conversations about the things that matter to you. I’ll bring everything you need, including genuine empathy and understanding, CBT methods, positive psychology tools, songwriting therapy, and mindfulness meditations to help you improve your personal or professional situation, navigate through and better deal with things that come up in day to day life.
